“It is more important to click with the people than to click with the shutter.”
- Photographer Alfred Eisenstadt (1898-1995) “I enjoy people immensely. I welcome clients from every walk of life and corner of the world. This, in combination with my expertise using cameras and lighting, allows me to capture poignant, humorous and truly candid photographs of people and their environment.” Laurie has been a professional photographer since 1998, but has been photographing since she was 8 years old. Along with her training in and lifelong passion for her medium, she brings to each assignment a full complement of photographic equipment, including the following: Digital: Several Canon Digital 5D’s with a 15mm, 28-70mm, 85mm portrait, 100mm macro, 70-200mm and a Lensbaby. Laurie shoots exclusively in the raw format, preparing each image personally for printing. Lighting: Her preference is always natural light but she uses the Canon 580EX flashes in low-light situations with diffusion devices. Film: Nikon SLR’s, a Leica M6 and a Hasselblad. Her preference is always natural light but she uses the Nikon SB28 flashes in low-light situations with diffusion devices. Upon request, professional film ranges from Fuji NPS to T-MAX 3200 depending on lighting preference and availability. |
